Shy Anime Adaptation Announced

Superhero manga Shy is getting an anime adaptation by studio 8bit. Masaomi Ando is directing the series which is based on Bukimi Miki’s manga of the same name. Shino Shimoji is voicing the titular character Shy. An announcement PV is now available:

The manga has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Champion since August 2019. A total of 15 volumes are out as of now. Yen Press licensed the manga with the firs volume set for December 2022 release. They describe the plot as:
Earth was on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe, ending the conflict and ushering in a new era of relative peace. Among those heroes, Japan is represented by a timid young girl known as “Shy.” She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she’ll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero! 

A visual was also revealed and it features Shy, whose real name is Teru Momijiyama:
