Studios ZERO-G and Liber’s collaborative anime The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague released a Halloween-themed illustration of the two main characters. The anime’s premiere date is slated for January 2023.
The newly released Halloween visual posted with the “Happy Halloween” caption on Twitter depicts the two main characters, Himuro and Fuyutsuki, sitting next to each other. Himuro is dressed as a vampire, while his colleague is wearing a nun uniform:
Chiaki Kobayashi (Lucius Artorius Castus in Vinland Saga) is voicing Himuro-kun, while Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan) is playing the role of Fuyutsuki-san. The anime adaptation is being produced based on Miyuki Tonogaya’s The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague manga serialized on Square Enix’s Gangan pixiv manga website. The series released the first compiled volume on July 22, 2019, and the newest, Volume 6 on June 22, 2022.
Comikey licensed the manga for English releases and describes the plot as follows:
Himuro-kun is a living descendant of the Snow Woman from Japanese folklore. But anytime he’s around his eccentric yet kind colleague, Fuyutsuki-san, he totally freezes up! Despite the snowstorm of love that rages on in his heart, and her complete cluelessness, will he take a step forward or stay frozen in place?
