My Hero Academia Season 6 released a special character visual for Tomura Shigaraki along with the voice actor Koki Yuchiyama’s comment. The anime released a special character visual for Shoto Todoroki in late September of this year, and three characters, Izuku Midoriya also known as Deku, Katsuki Bakugo, and Dabi, will also get new visuals in the future.
Koki Yuchiyama, known for roles as Izumi Miyamura in Horimiya and Kei Tsukishima in Haikyu!!, is voicing the antagonist in the My Hero Academia anime and describes the new visual as:
“A lot of changes happened since the time his face was covered with his hands and it culminated with a powerful visual like this. I didn’t imagine that at all. He shows a lot of confidence on his face that wasn’t there in the beginning, so I’d like to express his power, different from what he used to be.“
The 32-year-old voice actor also had a message for fans regarding the new season:
“Shigaraki has finally awakened. But it doesn’t seem the Docter’s operation was fully completed. With that being said, the power must be immense. In the already chaotic all-out war between heroes and their enemy, villains, what kind of moves will he be making? I’d like you to look forward to it.“
