Voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda, known for his roles as Kento Nanami (Jujutsu Kaisen) and Mikoto Suou (K), tested positive for COVID-19 on December 10. In a statement on his Twitter, both he and his agency, ANDSTIR confirmed the news to fans. Kenjiro Tsuda is voicing a host of characters this season including, Hyakunosuke Ogata in Golden Kamuy Season 4, Kishibe from Chainsaw Man, Nathan Seymour in Tiger & Bunny 2 Part 2, and many more roles.
His agency said that Kenjiro Tsuda had a fever and took a PCR test on the same day which returned a positive COVID-19 result. He is currently resting at home after guidance from public health centers.
On Twitter, the voice actor said, “After a test, it has been discovered that I have been infected with thr new type of coronavirus [COVID-19]. During the recuperation period, it has become difficult for me to participate in programs and recordings.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those involved.” He finished the statement off with an apology to his supporters for any concern caused and he will focus on his recovery.
Kenjiro Tsuda was born on June 11, 1971, and has become a fan favorite due to his unique deep, and smooth voice. Tsudaken, as he’s known by fans, has voiced many beloved characters such as Seto Kaiba from the Yu-Gi-Oh series, Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband, Nicolas Brown from Gangsta, Joker in Fire Force, and Dainsleif from Genshin Impact. The 51-year-old also provides the voice for television commercials and also makes appearances in stage plays and television dramas. This season he is voicing Kishibe in Chainsaw Man.
