Uncle from Another World Anime Delays Episode 13 Due To COVID-19 Issues in China

Uncle from Another World anime announced on Monday that the final, episode 13 will be delayed due to production issues caused by the pandemic of new coronavirus in China. The episode was scheduled to be broadcasted on December 29. The anime began airing in July 2022 but the broadcast was postponed after the 7th episode due to the pandemic in Japan. It returned in November 2022. Atelier Pontdarc is animating the adaptation.

According to the statement, certain parts of the animation process were outsourced to studios in China, which have been affected by the pandemic. This caused delays in the production of the content that was ordered. Given that it’s not possible to tell anything about the schedule this year, the anime’s production committee decided to postpone the broadcast and stream of episode 13 to keep the quality. The episode’s schedule will be announced on the official website and on Twitter once it’s decided.
