The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady anime revealed a trailer for Euphyllia Magenta (voiced by Manaka Iwami), one of the main heroines of the series on Tuesday, just a day before the official premiere. Previously, the anime released a trailer for Euphyllia’s partner Anisphia Wynn Palletia. The first episode was streamed on the Kadokawa YouTube channel in advance last December 10, 2022. The regular broadcasting is scheduled to begin on January 4, 2023.
The anime is based on the light novel series of the same title written by Piero Karasu with illustrations by Yuri Kisaragi. Studio Diomedéa (Parallel World Pharmacy) is producing the series under the direction of Shingo Tamaki (Aho-Girl). Wataru Watari (My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected author) is writing the series composition while Naomi Ide (Domestic Girlfriend) is the one illustrating character designs. The main cast of the series consists of the following:
- Sayaka Senbongi as Anisphia Wynn Palletia
- Manaka Iwami as Euphyllia Magenta
- Ai Kakuma as Illya Coral
- Shougo Sakata as Algard von Palletia
- Hina Youmiya as Lainie Cyan
- Yuu Sasahara as Tilty Claret
The anime adaptation is based on the light novel by Peiro Karasu. Yen Press is licensing both the light novel and manga in English, and they describe the first volume of the light novel as:
Despite her supposed ineptitude with regular magic, Princess Anisphia defies the aristocracy’s expectations by developing “magicology,” a unique magical theory based on memories from her past life. One day, she witnesses the brilliant noblewoman Euphyllia unjustly stripped of her title as the kingdom’s next monarch. That’s when Anisphia concocts a plan to help Euphyllia regain her good name-which somehow involves them living together and researching magic! Little do these two ladies know, however, that their chance encounter will alter not only their own futures, but those of the kingdom…and the entire world!
