Genshin Impact Unveils Yaoyao's Japanese Voice Actor

Genshin Impact unveiled the Japanese voice of the soon-to-be playable character Yaoyao during the special live stream of version 3.4 held on Friday. Japanese voice actress Mai Kadowaki will be dubbing Yaoyao in Japanese and her voice can be heard in the version 3.4 live stream and trailer.

Yaoyao is a sweet and pure-hearted child from Liyue who wields a polearm and the first-ever playable dendro unit outside of Sumeru. You can obtain Yaoyao in the first phase limited banners alongside Alhaitham and Xiao. After patch 3.4, Yaoyao will be added to the pool of 4 stars in the standard banner. She will also be a part of this year’s Lantern Rite. The Exquisite Night Chimes event will allow you to invite one 4-star Liyue character to join your party.

The Wangsheng funeral parlor director, Hu Tao, and the mysterious person who claims to work for the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Yelan, will be featured in the second phase. Genshin Impact version 3.4 is slated to release on Wednesday, January 18.

Mai Kadowaki is known as Illyasviel von Einzbern from the Fate franchise, Sanya V. Litvyak from Strike Witches, Risa Kamizaki from Amagami SS, Honne Nohotoke from Infinite Stratos, and Kotone Shirakawa from Overflow.

UPDATE: Kelsey Jaffer will be voicing Yaoyao in English version of the game.
