Yuri Kisaragi, the artist of The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady light novel series, posted a special illustration after the release of episode 5 on Wednesday. The illustration features the main characters, Anisphia and Euphyllia, in the wonderful dresses from the latest episode. Kisaragi thanked everyone who tuned in to the premiere of the 5th episode. Studio Diomedéa is animating the TV anime with Shingo Tamaki as director.
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady light novel is written by Piero Karasu and illustrated by Yuri Kisaragi. It was originally serialized online on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2019. Fujimi Shobo later acquired the series and published it in print in January 2020 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation with art done by Harutsugu Nadaka was launched in July 2020.
Yen Press is licensing both the light novel and manga and they describe the plot of the first volume of the light novel as:
Despite her supposed ineptitude with regular magic, Princess Anisphia defies the aristocracy’s expectations by developing “magicology,” a unique magical theory based on memories from her past life. One day, she witnesses the brilliant noblewoman Euphyllia unjustly stripped of her title as the kingdom’s next monarch. That’s when Anisphia concocts a plan to help Euphyllia regain her good name-which somehow involves them living together and researching magic! Little do these two ladies know, however, that their chance encounter will alter not only their own futures, but those of the kingdom…and the entire world!
