After a delay, Fate/Strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn TV special revealed a new trailer and a premiere date: July 2. Both Japanese and English versions will be available and there will be a special LA event this summer, as announced earlier during AnimeJapan 2023. A-1 Pictures is animating. The anime was initially scheduled to premiere on December 21, 2022.
The special was announced with a teaser trailer and visual on September 24. The cast was also revealed for both the original Japanese and the English dubbed version:
- Kana Hanazawa / Anjali Kunapaneni as Ayaka Sayjou
- Yuki Ono/Ben Balmaceda as Saber
- Tomokazu Seki / David Vincent as Archer
- Yu Kobayashi/Marin Miller as Lancer
Ryogo Narita is credited with the original story and Shizuki Mori with the original character designs. Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume are directing the special with Daisuke Ohigashi on the script. Yukei Yamada is adapting the character designs and Hiroyuki Sawano is composing the music. Fate/Strange Fake is a light novel series that is part Type-Moon’s Fate franchise, written by Ryogo Narita and illustrated by Morii Shizuki.
