Preview for episode 1 of the crime and suspense anime My Home Hero has been released. The anime will air on April 2 at 23:30 (JST). Tezuka Productions is animating the series, under the direction of Takeshi Kamei.
Viewers will get to know Tetsuo Tosu, a 47-year-old hardworking man with a loving family. One day, he notices his daughter Reika Tosu acting strangely. When confronted, Reika finally tells his father that she was being repeatedly hit by her boyfriend, Nobuto Matori.
Later on, Tetsuo hears Nobuto badmouthing his daughter and decides to follow the man, who was walking alongside his friends. And while he was initially hurt, he still decided to act to protect his daughter. Little did he know that this will lead to the worst possible situation that cannot be undone…

The opening theme song is “Ai no Uta” by Chiai Fujikawa, while the ending theme song is “Decided” by Dizzy Sunfist. The cast for My Home Hero anime includes:

The My Home Hero anime is based on a manga of the same name by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki. It is being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine and is currently on its seventh volume. Kodansha USA has licensed the manga in English, describing it as:
Tetsuo Tosu is a typical father whose biggest worries are his job and his rebellious daughter, Reika. That is, until he finds a bruise on her face. His worst fears come true when he finds out she has a secret boyfriend…and he’s part of a crime ring that’s using her to steal her grandparent’s wealth. If that wasn’t bad enough, the thug catches Tetsuo snooping around and threatens to kill Reika as soon as she gets home. Fueled by fatherly instincts, Tetsuo murders the man…only for his wife to walk in and witness what he’s done.
