The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor is getting an anime, as announced yesterday. The artist of the light novel’s manga adaptation, Anko Yuzu, drew a special illustration to commemorate the announcement:
The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor anime will adapt the light novel of the same name written by Sarasa Nagase and illustrated by Mitsuya Fuji. The story was originally published on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2019 and it was later picked by Kadokawa in 2020 and serialized under the Kadokawa Beans Bunko imprint. Manga adaptation with art by Anko Yuzu has been ongoing since 2020 in Comp Ace magazine.
Cross Infinite World licensed the light novel in English and describes the plot as:
Jill is sentenced to death by the crown prince, her fiancé. But just before she dies, she’s sent back in time six years to the party where their engagement had been decided. To avoid this route of ruin, Jill immediately proposes to the person standing behind her…but it’s the man who was her greatest enemy, Emperor Hadis?! Jill knows all about his future descent into evil. She quickly retracts the proposal, but the delighted Hadis takes her back to his castle and makes her a meal. Completely won over by the food, Jill makes a life-changing decision…
“I’m going to reform—no, I’m going to make you happy!”
It’s time to redo this life with the enemy!
There are still no details about The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor anime cast, but Azumi Waki and Takuya Sato voiced the main duo in promotional videos for the light novel:
