Ayunda Risu, Moona Hoshinova and Pavolia Reine from Hololive Indonesia are set to join hololive English 1st Concert -Connect the World-, the first English-language concert for Hololive, set to be held in Los Angeles, California on July 2 this year.
The Hololive Indonesia talents will join Hololive English talents such as Mori Calliope, Gawr Gura, and Hakos Baelz during the concert. According to the agency, the attendance of the talents from their Indonesian side demonstrates how far-reaching the VTubing culture is, regardless of geographical location.
The concert was first announced on March 18 this year and is the first stand-alone event of this kind for the English branch of the company. Tickets are now up for sale and will be available until May 13 (PDT) or until sold out.
This upcoming concert is part of Hololive’s ongoing strategy to boost its presence overseas through events and partnerships. More recently, the VTuber agency announced a new lineup for its Hololive Meet 2023 ambassadors namely Sakura Miko, Kureiji Ollie, IRyS, Yukoku Roberu, and Regis Altare. Previous Hololive Meet members include Tokino Sora, Gawr Gura, and Ayunda Risu.
In an interview by Anime News Network with Cover Corp CEO Motoaki Tanigo. he said he has shown interest in further expanding operations in other markets where anime and otaku culture have been localized.
Right now, Japanese anime is big all over the world, so there are a lot of really strong markets. I don’t have extensive knowledge about the international scene, but there are places like South America or Europe where a lot of anime are localized, and which are really interesting to me. We would like to try out those markets, and if things go well, we may also localize for those markets and foster talents from there.
