Ai no Idenshi Anime Premieres July 7, Gets New Visual and Trailer

The Ai no Idenshi anime is set to premiere this July. A new key visual and trailer have been released, as well as details on additional cast and theme song information. Studio Madhouse is animating the series under the direction of Yuzo Sato.

The newest cast additions include Mitsuki Awanaka as Jay and Natsumi Takamori as Kaoru. Other cast members include Yume Miyamoto as Risa Higuchi and Takeo Ootsuka as Hikaru Sodu. Meanwhile, the series’ theme songs include “No Frontier” by Aile The Shota as the opening theme and “Wasurenagusa” by Greeeen as the ending theme. The staff for the Ai no Idenshi anime includes:

Ai no Idenshi anime – Key Visual

The Ai no Idenshi anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Kyuri Yamada. It was first serialized in Akita Shoten’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Champion from November 2015 to August 2017. It received two manga sequels: AI no Idenshi: Red Queen which was serialized from October 2017 to June 2019; and AI no Idenshi: Blue Age which has been serialized since July 2020. Both sequels debuted in in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shonen Champion.

The plot follows the story of Hikaru Sudo, a doctor specializing in humanoids, in the near future, where around 10% of the global population are humanoids. And while they are accepted widely, they suffer from their own problems and sicknesses, different from normal human beings.
