What’s The Quintessential Quintuplets About?
Serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 2017 to February 2020, Negi Haruba’s The Quintessential Quintuplets is one of the most loved harems of the past decade. The manga consists of 14 volumes. Kodansha USA publishes the work in English. The franchise counts with two TV anime seasons, a movie, several OVAs, games, and a light novel adaptation.
The Quintessential Quintuplets revolves around the Nanako sisters, five girls whose beauty is matched only by the emptiness in their minds — an emptiness of considerable magnitude. Worried about his daughter’s future, their father enlists the help of Futaro Uesugi, a bright and capable tutor. However, this task proved to be more challenging than anticipated. Futaro’s first interaction with one of the sisters is less than ideal, and she holds a grudge against him. With both his own future and that of his family at stake, Futaro perseveres in his efforts to help the girls pass their upcoming exams. From that convoluted situation, love arises.
