BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Voted Best Anime of the Fall 2022 Season

The Fall 2022 anime season is officially behind us, and BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 1 was voted as the best anime of the season! The anime was stellar throughout its run, and Pierrot delivered an impressive adaptation for one of the big three anime’s final arc. A total of 48,598 people voted throughout the season, and Mob Psycho 100 III was the show in 2nd place. The score was calculated based on the weekly results, as well as the votes it got in the final “Anime of the Season” poll. More details here.

Studio Pierrot previously produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 with a total of 366 episodes. The performance of the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 1 anime adaptation on our weekly polls has been outstanding, taking the top for 9 weeks in a row, before eventually falling down to 2nd place after Mob’s incredible finale. VIZ Media licensed the BLEACH in English, and they describe the BLEACH 2022 (Thousand-Year Blood War) story:

The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it, meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…

The Thousand-Year Blood War anime will continue with Part 2: The Separation in July 2023.
