Kazue Kato writes and draws the Blue Exorcist manga, which has been serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine since April 2009. It has released 31 volumes as of June 2024. Viz Media licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime. The latter describes the story:
Assiah, the realm of humans, and Gehenna, the realm of demons. Normally, these two dimensions would never intersect, but the demons are now intruding on the material world.
The franchise announced its return with the 3rd TV anime season in December 2022, over 5 years after the 2nd season (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga).
