Blue Exorcist: Blue Night Saga revealed a new visual ahead of the premiere on January 4. The anime will also have a stage at Jump Festa on Sunday.
Studio VOLN is animating the new installments of the Blue Exorcist franchise, including the Beyond the Snow saga. Daisuke Yoshida is directing the Beyond the Snow Saga with Yurie Ohigashi as the character designer and chief animation director. Toshiya Ono is in charge of the series composition. Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto are composing the music.
Blue Exorcist anime is based on a manga by Kazue Katou. It started serialization in the Jump Square magazine in 2009 and received an anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures that premiered in the Spring of 2011. The first season ended with an arc that was anime-original. Season 2 titled Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga aired in the Winter of 2017 season. It ignored the anime-only arc from the prequel and continued to adapt the manga’s storyline. A side-story titled Blue Exorcist: Kuro’s Trip Away From Home debuted as a DVD special in 2011. The second season also has a two-episode OVA. In 2011, the franchise also received a movie; another side-story animated by A-1 Pictures. The main cast for the anime series includes:
