Sequels – For Extra Coziness
The following anime series are sequels that aired in 2021, but the first seasons premiered before. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t make the list. With sequels, that just means even more episodes to watch and the cozy and comfy anime to warm up with during these cold holidays.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S
Kobayashi’s unusual life living with dragons returns for a brand new season and with a new season comes more fresh characters, exciting adventures, and wholesome moments. With Tohru still being a hard-working maid for Kobayashi, Kanna enjoying the life of an elementary student, and the newly added character Ilulu who also wants to immerse herself with the human lifestyle, there is surely never a dull moment in Kobayashi’s life.
Maid Dragon S is Kyoto Animation’s first TV anime since the 2019 arson, and it is a sequel to the first season from 2017. It was the most anticipated anime in the Summer season and truly lived up to its hype as it became the AC’s anime of the season for Summer 2021. Dragon Maid S is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
Non Non Biyori Nonstop
Non Non Biyori is a warm and cozy series that will show the ways of life in the countryside. At first glance, there aren’t many interesting things to do in the countryside but, Renge, Komari, Hotaru, and Natsumi somehow make it fun and entertaining. Whether it’s just planting seedlings, pranking their teacher, or making dolls with toothpicks and tape; the nonstop interesting activities of these young girls always bring a comfy treat to everyone and that nostalgic childhood feeling.
Non Non Biyori Nonstop is the third season of the series. Like the previous seasons, it gently ventures into the lives of the four girls as they thoroughly enjoy their rural life and make every day full of fun. You can watch the countryside adventures of Renge and friends in Crunchyroll.
Laid-Back Camp Season 2
The list wouldn’t be complete without the camping girls of the Secret Society Blanket. Laid-Back Camp Season 2 continues the camping adventures of Nadeshiko, Rin, and their friends. The group of friends travel and camp around Yamanashi prefecture, home of Mt. Fuji where they visit parks, lakes, and the sea. As usual, the bunch is still as adorable as ever and you never get tired of their actions. The new season also gives a glimpse of Rin and Nadeshiko’s past while emphasizing their growth throughout the season. Season 2 manages to make the series even cozier with the aesthetically pleasing animation and soothing ost on every episode. Combine all of these elements together, and you get yourself a series that continues to define the word comfy.
The Laid-Back Camp series has two seasons with a total of 25 episodes. You can watch it on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Ani-one. There will also be a movie that will premiere in Summer 2022.
And you?
We hope you enjoyed the list and that you’ll get some comfy, relaxing time with some of these titles. Which anime would you add to the list?
