Devil May Cry Season 2 Gets First Trailer, 2026 Release Date

Devil May Cry Season 2 has been confirmed for a 2026 release date, with Netflix revealing its first trailer. The first season of the animated series was released on Netflix on April 3, while the sequel announcement came just a week later. The project was first announced in September 2023 as “an anime series from Capcom, Studio Mir & Adi Shankar.”

Netflix made the announcement during Anime NYC, and you can watch the first Season 2 teaser trailer below.

Devil May Cry is a popular action-adventure and hack-and-slash game franchise created by Hideki Kamiya and developed primarily by Capcom. The series follows Dante, a demon hunter with supernatural abilities, as he fights demons that threaten humanity. The voice cast includes:

• Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante
• Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary
• Hoon Lee as White Rabbit
• Kevin Conroy as VP Baines
• Chris Coppola as Enzo

The game series originally debuted in 2001 and has since expanded to include six mainline entries:

1. Devil May Cry (2001)
2. Devil May Cry 2 (2003)
3. Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening (2005)
4. Devil May Cry 4 (2008)
5. DmC: Devil May Cry (2013) – a reboot developed by Ninja Theory
6. Devil May Cry 5 (2019)

In addition to the main entries, the franchise has had multiple remasters, special editions, and collections, including Devil May Cry HD Collection and enhanced re-releases of Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, and Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition.

The series already has one anime adaptation by studio MADHOUSE, which premiered in June 2007. It has 12 episodes and focuses on Dante’s daily life as a demon hunter.
