Digimon Reveals “Best Adventure” Anniversary Series with Teaser Trailer Ahead of 30th Anniversary

The Digimon franchise has revealed a new teaser trailer for Bokura ga Eranda Best Adventure (“The Best Adventure We Chose”), a special TV project celebrating the series’ upcoming 30th anniversary.

Premiering on October 4 in Japan, the series will revisit fan-favorite episodes from four classic Digimon anime: Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, and Digimon Frontier. Rather than a new anime, the project compiles episodes selected through a worldwide fan vote held as part of the Digimon 30th Anniversary Project.

The newly released teaser previews footage from all four series while introducing the anniversary project and the episodes that will return to television.

The four highest-ranked episodes are:

• Digimon Adventure Episode 54: “A New World”
• Digimon Adventure 02 Episode 21: “Goodbye, Ken…”
• Digimon Tamers Episode 43: “Beelzemon Returns”
• Digimon Frontier Episode 50: “Across Time! The Beginning of a New Legend”

The anniversary project will also feature a new opening theme by several longtime Digimon music contributors. Ayumi Miyazaki, best known for Digimon Adventure‘s insert song “brave heart,” and Takayoshi Tanimoto, who performed “One Vision” from Digimon Tamers, will perform the song.

The creative team also reunites veteran Digimon composers and lyricists. Hiroshi Yamada, who wrote lyrics for songs including Digimon Adventure 02‘s “Break up!” and “Beat Hit!”, is handling the lyrics, while Michihiko Ohta, whose work includes Digimon Frontier opening theme “FIRE!!” and music in all four featured series, is composing the track.

Digimon Adventure is a 1999 Japanese anime series produced by Toei Animation in cooperation with WiZ, Bandai and Fuji Television. It was the first anime series in the Digimon media franchise, based on the Digital Monster virtual pet released in 1997. It received numerous other adaptations and spin-offs and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2027.

While at summer camp, seven kids come across seven Digivices and are transported to a strange digital world. In this new world they make friends with creatures that call themselves Digimon who were born to defend their world from various evil forces.
