Dorohedoro anime sequel is set to premiere in 2025, as announced earlier today with a new teaser visual. Yuichiro Hayashi is once again directing the adaptation at studio MAPPA. The sequel was announced last January.

MAPPA animated the first season of Dorohedoro anime, which began airing in Japan in the Winter of 2020. Overseas, the series was a Netflix exclusive and its 12 episodes arrived on the streaming platform on May 28 of that year. Yuichiro Hayashi directed and storyboarded the anime with Hiroshi Seko on the series composition and script. Tomohiro Kishi was in charge of the character designs. (K)NoW_NAME’s R O N composed the music – the unit also did the opening and the six ending theme songs.

Q Hayashida’s Doroheroro manga began serialization in 2000 in Shogakukan’s Monthly Ikki Magazine. After the magazine ceased publication in 2014, the manga moved to Hibana in 2015, which stopped publication two years later, so Doroheroro manga ended its run in Monthly Shonen Sunday in 2018. 167 chapters were collected in 23 volumes. VIZ Media published the manga in English.
