Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Anime Reveals Special Trailer and Visuals, July Premiere

The previously announced Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime revealed a special trailer and visuals for the main cast, along with the first staff information and July 2024 premiere. Studio J.C. Staff is animating, and you can watch the short new trailer below.

J.C. Staff is animating with Shinji Ishihara as the chief director and Toshinori Watanabe as the director. Atsuhiro Tomioka is in charge of the series composition and Yurika Sako is on character designs. Yasuharu Takanashi is returning to compose the music. The main cast is returning, as announced alongside new character visuals:

  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu
  • Rie Kugimiya as Happy
  • Aya Hirano as Lucy
  • Yuichi Nakamura as Gray
  • Sayaka Ohara as Erza
  • Yui Horie as Charle

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is a sequel manga to the original Fairy Tail series, written by Hiro Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Ueda. It started serializing in Magazine Pocket in 2018. The manga currently has 16 volumes and over 150 chapters. Kodansha US is publishing it in English. The anime adaptation was announced in September 2021.

Kodansha published the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail guild are back in action! And they’ve decided to tackle the “100 Years Quest”—a job no one’s dared take on since the founding of the guild more than a century ago. A mysterious town, a baffling spirit, a ghastly new enemy … and a brand new continent to explore. When you’re with real friends, the adventures never stop!

Fairy Tail manga ended in 2018, with the final season of the anime airing from Fall 2018 to Fall 2019.
