Coco Uzuki’s award-winning romance manga Fall in Love, You False Angels is officially receiving a TV anime adaptation, with the series scheduled to premiere in 2027.
The manga follows Otogi Katsura, a girl admired by everyone around her as the perfect high school beauty. Determined to maintain that flawless image at all times, Otogi carefully hides her true personality from those around her.
The announcement was followed by a special illustration drawn by Uzuki to celebrate the anime adaptation. You can check it out below.
Originally launched in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in April 2023, Fall in Love, You False Angels (Koi Seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo) has become one of the publisher’s most popular recent shojo titles. In 2025, it won the 49th Kodansha Manga Award in the shoujo category. Kodansha USA has the manga available in English, describing the first volume:
All sugar, no spice, and everything nice…that’s the impression the beautiful first-year high schooler and class president Otogi gives to those around her. One look from the school’s “heartthrob angel” is all it takes to sweep countless admirers off their feet. But the real Otogi Katsura is no angel: She’s calculating, ruthless, and sharp-tongued. When Otogi slips up and exposes her inner baddie in front of the class’s other paragon, Toki, he counters by revealing an unexpected side of his own and declaring her his “partner in crime.” With cupid’s arrow at her back, can the “heartthrob angel” maintain her perfect act and regain the upper hand, or will she be the one swept off her feet by a fellow false angel?!
No staff, cast, studio, or broadcast details have been announced as of this writing. Additional information is expected at a later date.
