Following Cosplay Carnival 2024 in March, Cosplay.ph is set to deliver yet another fun-filled event this month. FanFes 2024, a festival dedicated to fans and their fandoms, will be held at Space at One Ayala, Makati City on May 18 – 19, 2024.
What To Expect at FanFes 2024
FanFes is an event organized by Cosplay.ph. It is a convention that aims to put the spotlight on artists who make fan art and original creations. Merchandise such as stickers, button pins, keychains, art prints, posters, and many more are “made by fans, for the fans.”
Fanfes 2024 will have con-goers entering full gear with their theme called, “The Steelsmith Arc.” Cosplay.ph describes the event:
“With a program that includes Panel Discussions including hot topics that involve Artists and Cosplayers, Game Shows that feature products found inside the convention itself, and even Contests that revolve around and feature artists wrapped around a unique, steampunk aesthetic, Fanfes 2024 promises to be a wholly unique experience that will bring a fresh perspective on conventions in general.”
An anime convention wouldn’t also be complete without cosplayers bringing their favorite anime, cartoon, or pop culture characters to life. Everyone will have a chance to take part in exciting activities, and has another bustling convention to watch out for.
South Korean Guests and Guides
All things fun and exciting will take place at the center stage of Fanfes 2024. There are the cosplay contests “Solo Cosplay Catwalk” and “Steel the Show Cosplay Competition” and the singing contests “Cosplay Karaoke” and “Anisong Unleashed.” Con-goers can also take part in activities like Price Fight, Facepalm the Music, Guess the Sketch, and Cosplay Auctions. Lastly, there will be a Think Talk panel discussion with talented creators.
To complete the fan experience, four cosplay stars from South Korea — Tomia, ING, JooA, and Berry –will be making an appearance. Fans will have the opportunity of a lifetime to meet and greet them. In addition to all that, Feedb5ck and DNE will be having a dance performance.
The stage is not the only highlight of the event. In fact, FanFes also has a new home to boast this year — the “Space at One Ayala” from Halls A – D. As a convention for artists and fandoms, this year’s event is the biggest FanFes venue to date with 2,700 square meters. That means that the event will have a full line-up of booths and exhibitors with collectibles, lifestyle, fan-made, and original merchandise. There will also be three resting areas, a photo-op area, and food booths.
As of writing, tickets for FanFes 2024 are still being sold via Ticketmax while supplies last. One-day passes are priced at PHP 299.00 while 2-day passes are priced at PHP 999.00. There will be no tickets sold at the event. Visit the Cosplay Mania Facebook for more information.
