Hanazawa Kana Joins Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie Cast as Orimoto Rika

The official Twitter account for theJujutsu Kaisen anime revealed an additional cast member, Hanazawa Kana as Orimoto Rika in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie. They also posted her comment on their website.

Akutami Gege’s Jujutsu Kaisen has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump, and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a prequel to the main story. The film will open in Japan on December 24, 2021.

Cast

Orimoto Rika is a childhood friend of the protagonist of the prequel, Okkotsu Yuuta. The visual shows that Hanazawa Kana will voice the character in more than two versions.

Hanazawa Kana is now a fan of the series and looks forward to acting in the anime:

After it was decided I would take an audition, I checked the original work and the anime, and became a huge fan of the series just like others did. I will also do the part of the Rika-chan in her childhood and the Cursed Spirit Rika-chan, so I’ll further grow my feelings toward Yuuta-kun for the recording, and play the character well. What’s more, I really look forward to exchange words with my favorite, Ogata Megumi-san in the anime!

Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem. His childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?
