Hololive’s Minato Aqua, a VTuber who is part of the agency’s second generation, will graduate and cease her activities on August 28. The news was confirmed by the VTuber agency, as well as by the talent during a recently-concluded livestream at 8PM (JST).
While the agency did not provide any reasons to her graduation, Aqua mentioned that in her stream that her departure from Hololive stems from difference in opinion with management.
Hololive apologized to fans and related parties for the sudden announcement, and states that they appreciate the warm support fans have given to Aqua until now, and are truly grateful from the bottom of their hearts.
Minato Aqua has been one of the members pivotal in contributing to the growth of hololive
production from its early days, serving as part of hololive’s 2nd Generation for approximately six
years. We are sincerely grateful for her contributions and, in light of that, have accepted her

Aside from the August 28 graduation livestream, hololive will also be organizing a graduation live concert, merchandise sales, a special program on the agency official channel, as well as a special feature Minato Aqua’s channel. Fan letters will be accepted until Friday, September 6th (JST), with details of membership and membership-only content provided separately.
Minato Aqua debuted as part of hololive’s second generation on August 8, 2018 alongside Murasaki Shion, Nakiri Ayame, Yuzuki Choco and Oozora Subaru. As of this writing, she has over 2 million YouTube subscribers and over 1 million X (Twitter) followers. It is worth noting that she had a visual novel titled AQUARIUM with her as the titular character, released in August 2022.
Aqua’s graduation announcement follows the termination of HOLOSTARS’ Hizaki Gamma on July 19 and Yozora Mel‘s termination on January 16.
