Oshi no Ko Season 2 revealed the episode 7 preview, showing that the rivalry between Kana and Akane will be back in the spotlight. Kuniyasu Nishina (Blue Period episode 11) is directing and handling the storyboard for the episode with Jin Tanaka ((Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) on the script. The episode is slated to premiere on Wednesday, August 14. HIDIVE and Bilibili are streaming the anime.
Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) returned to animate the sequel with Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) as director and Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as assistant director. GEMN is performing the opening song “Fatal” while Hitsujibungaku is singing the anime’s ending theme song “Burning.” The cast reprised their roles:

- Takeo Otsuka as Aquamarine Hoshino
- Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino
- Megumi Han as Kana Arima
- Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa

The TV anime adaptation is based on the manga series written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokari (Scum’s Wish). Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump has been serializing the series since April 2020. HIDIVE is streaming the series and they describe it as:
