Kitarou Tanjou: Gegege no Nazo Movie Gets New Trailer, Visual Ahead of November 17 Premiere

The upcoming Kitarou Tanjou: Gegege no Nazo anime movie has released a new trailer and visual ahead of its theatrical premiere on November 17. Toei Animation returns to the franchise to animate the movie under the direction of Gou Koga.

Hiroyuki Yoshino is writing the screenplay, while Toko Yatabe is doing the character designs. Meanwhile, Mai Ichioka will serve as the art director, Tomoyuki Ishiyama will be the photography director, Sayoko Yokoyama is the color designer, and Kenji Kawai will compose the music. The Kitarou Tanjou: Gegege no Nazo anime movie covers the events of the 2018 GeGeGe no Kitaro anime series, which aired for 97 episodes from April 2018 to March 2022. Crunchyroll is streaming the series, describing it as:

GeGeGe no Kitaro is a supernatural and horror comedy manga created by Shigeru Mizuki. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Comics from 1960 to 1969. It sprang a total of seven anime adaptations, starting from 1968 up until 2018. All of them were broadcast by Fuji Television and animated by Toei Animation. The series has several movie versions as well, the most recent being GeGeGe no Kitaro: Japan Explodes!!, released in 2008.
