LiSA Collaborates with Stray Kids in “Social Path”

Seven months since the release of K-pop boy group Stray Kids’ first full Japanese album “The Sound,” a collaboration with the renowned Japanese singer LiSA graced one of the double title tracks of their first Japanese EP “Social Path (feat. LiSA).” As described in LiSA’s official website, “Social Path” is a song which means “to pave the way.” Stray Kids’ leader Bang Chan, who is heavily involved in writing and producing the group’s discography, also discussed the track’s origin in Stray Kids official website.
The lyrics are based on my own experiences, but I wrote it while thinking that not only me but many people may have had the same experience. I’ve endured a lot, but I’m sure there are people out there who are still enduring it. The lyrics are meant to convey to those people, ‘I know how you feel, too.’

Social Path was first revealed and performed at Stray Kids’ 5-STAR Dome Tour 2023 on August 16, 2023, where the octet performed across four domes in Japan and at the KSPO Dome in Korea for the said tour. The track and its music video are both available for streaming ahead of the single’s official release on September 6. Don’t miss out on this phenomenal grunge collaboration; be sure to check out their music video!

In spite ahead of its official release, Stray Kids and LiSA already dominated the Japanese charts with their first-ever collaboration. The music video topped the YouTube’s music videos worldwide when it was digitally pre-released on August 30, accumulating over 3 million views within 24 hours. Social Path is also, so far, Stray Kids’ most streamed Japanese song on Spotify on the day of its debut, garnering over 442,580 streams within 24 hours.
