My Happy Marriage Special Episodes Reveal Trailer, New Cast, October 25 Premiere

My Happy Marriage anime revealed a teaser trailer and new visuals for its upcoming three-episode special, which will air and begin streaming on October 25, 2026. M・A・O has also joined the cast as new character Kimio Nagaba. The anime will stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide.

The special episodes will continue the story of Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo after the conflict with Naoshi Usui and the Gifted Communion. After awakening as the Maiden of Dream-Sight and reuniting with Kiyoka, Miyo looks toward their wedding as the two settle into a more peaceful life.

However, Miyo’s life takes another turn when she attends a cooking class with Hazuki and reunites with Kimio Nagaba, a former elementary school classmate. Kimio performs a “charm” intended to make Miyo even happier, setting up the new story.

M・A・O commented on joining the series as Kimio:

“I’m M・A・O, and I’ll be playing Kimio Nagaba. I’m very happy to be able to take part in such a wonderful work that carefully portrays the emotions of its characters. Kimio makes her appearance with a subtly unsettling atmosphere, and I did my best to properly express the complicated feelings she carries.

“I hope you’ll watch to see how she becomes involved with Miyo and Kiyoka as they overcome various hardships and move toward happiness, while also enjoying the sweet and charming interactions between the two of them!”

The teaser trailer also previews the newly announced ending theme, “Prelude no Temae ni ~for me&you~,” performed by Kashitaro Ito. Ito previously performed ending themes for the TV anime.

Takehiro Kubota returns as director and is also handling series composition. Mika Tanaka and Ikuho Negi are writing the script, while Shoko Yasuda, Hikaru Sato and Shinji Ito are credited with character design. Evan Call returns to compose the music, with studio Kinema Citrus in charge of the animation. The voice cast for the My Happy Marriage anime consists of the following members:

Akumi Agitogi writes the My Happy Marriage light novel, which was initially published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. Fujimi L Bunko later acquired the title in January 2019 and began publishing it with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka. There is also a manga adaptation by Rito Kohsaka. 

Yen Press licensed the novel in English, while Square Enix licensed the manga. The franchise got a live-action film adaptation in March 2023 as well.

The story follows Miyo Saimori, who lives with a stepmother that abuses her due to having no supernatural ability despite being from a famous family. As she is talentless, her family decides to sell her off to the cold Kiyoka Kudo, who is notorious for his cruelty. However, her life drastically changes after meeting her fiancé, and Miyo begins to awaken her abilities while also growing closer to Kiyoka.
