The Quintessential Quintuplets movie released a music video for the ending theme song “Gotobun no Hanayome -Arigato no Hana-” sung by all five Nakano sisters, Ichika (Kana Hanazawa), Nino (Ayana Takekatsu), Miku (Miku Ito), Yotsuba (Ayane Sakura), and Itsuki (Inori Minase).
The film adaptation premiered in Japan on May 20, 2022, and earned 2 billion yen (≒ 14 million US dollars) with 1.5 million moviegoers as of July 16. Negi Haruba has serialized The Quintessential Quintuplets series from August 2017 to February 2020 with a total of 14 volumes in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The series has sold over 16 million copies and inspired an anime adaptation. The first season was animated by Tezuka Productions (2019), while the second season (2021), and the film (2022) were done by Bibury Animation Studios. The Quintessential Quintuplets movie concluded the anime series.
Kodansha is also the official publisher for the English releases and describes the plot as:
