Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) anime has revealed the preview images, video, and synopsis for episode 8, which is slated to air on August 21. The episode is titled “The Student Council Assembly.” Studio Doga Kobo is animating the series, which is streaming on Crunchyroll.

The synopsis for episode 8 is as follows:
Sayaka Taniyama, who once competed for the position of student council president against Yuki, raised an objection to Alya and Masachika about challenging Yuki. Furthermore, Sayaka asks Alya and Masachika for a debate in an attempt to remove them from the list of candidates for the student council president election. The debate topic is “The Introduction of Teachers’ Evaluation for Student Council Membership”. Losing here would mean the closure of the path to becoming the student council president. Alya and Masachika plan to win the debate, while deducing their opponent’s tactics. And then, on the day of the debate, the outcome of their victory is—!?

The Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) anime is based on a light novel written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco. The novel was initially published online as two short stories on the self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020. It was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint in 2021.
Crunchyoll is streaming the anime and describes the story as follows:
Alya is a transfer student enjoying popularity at her new high school, often sporting a cold shoulder while earning high marks in class. She ignores her nerdy classmate, Kuze Masachika, except for when she blurts out a flirtatious line to him in Russian. Little does she know, Kuze understands Russian, though he pretends not to. Let’s see where this wacky love story takes them!
