Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Emilia birthday event will return to Marui stores in Japan on September 19, 2026, with new merchandise and a special short story booklet written by original author Tappei Nagatsuki.
The purchase bonus booklet features a newly written story titled “Three, Two, One, Smile!” Nagatsuki wrote the story specifically for the 2026 birthday event. The event, titled Re:ZERO Emilia Birthday Life 2026 in Marui, celebrates Emilia’s September 23 birthday and will feature new illustrations of Emilia, Subaru, and Beatrice. Merchandise using the new artwork will be available at the venues.
The first event will take place at Shibuya Modi in Tokyo from September 19 to 27. A second event will follow at Kobe Marui from October 3 to 12.
The Re:ZERO light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki first started on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in April 2012. The light novel version began in January 2014, featuring illustrations by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. Both are currently ongoing. The first season of the TV anime adaptation ran for 25 episodes from April to September 2016. Season 2 followed with 2 split cours, which aired in Summer 2020 and Winter 2021. Season 3 then released in Fall 2024 and Winter 2025.
During its first part, Re:ZERO Season 4 dominated our Spring 2026 awards, winning a total of 19 awards. Throughout the second part, the anime placed first two times so far.
