Skip and Loafer Season 2 Reveals New Visual, Staff

Skip and Loafer Season 2 revealed a new teaser visual, along with the announcement that the first season’s staff will be returning for the sequel. Kotomi Deai will once again serve as both director and series composition writer at studio P.A. Works, while Manami Umeshita will reprise her role as character designer.

Additionally, Yoko Yonaiyama, who contributed to the scripts for several episodes in the first season, will collaborate with Deai on the series composition. The release date for the sequel is not yet revealed.

Aside from the staff, the voice cast of Skip and Loafer will also reprise their roles for Season 2:

• Akinori Egoshi as Sosuke Shima
• Maaya Uchida as Yuzuki Marashige
• Yuka Terasaki as Mika Egashira
• Megumi Han as Makoto Kurume
• Mitsuki Saiga as Nao-chan
• Hikaru Tanaka as Mukai Tsukasa
• Ayumu Murase as Kento Yamada

The anime is based on the manga by Misaki Takamatsu which started serialization in 2018 in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine. Seven Seas Entertainment is licensing the manga in English.

Crunchyroll is streaming the first season and they describe the whole series as follows:
This country girl is ready for the big city! Well, at least she thought she was. Mitsumi’s dream is to attend a prestigious school and make the world a better place. But when she finally gets to Tokyo, it turns out she isn’t exactly prepared for city life. Luckily, she runs into Shima, a sweet and handsome classmate who becomes her first friend! Can she make it in Tokyo with Shima by her side?

The anime was considered one of the biggest trends in the Spring 2023 season.
