The Gabriel Dropout Manga Will Conclude With Its Next Chapter

Dengeki Daioh G magazine announced that the Gabriel Dropout manga will conclude with its next chapter.

ASCII Media Works (Kadokawa) began serializing Umaki’s comedy slice-of-life manga in December 2013. It was originally published on a bi-monthly basis. But the following April, the series was switched to a monthly release. Kadokawa has compiled the manga into sixteen volumes. Yen Press publishes Gabriel Dropout in English.

The manga follows Gabriel “Gab” White Tenma, one of heaven’s most promising new angels. After graduating from angel school, Gab-chan traveled to Earth to learn about humanity and help them live proper lives. However, instead of becoming a pillar of morality, Gab quickly became addicted to video games and embraced a pseudo-NEET lifestyle! While Gab is happy to live a relaxed, lazy life, her angel (and even demon) companions are quick to disparage her Kazuma-like ways.

Studio Doga Kobo produced a Gabriel Dropout anime in 2017; the main voice cast included:

• Miyu Tomita (Miko in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Gabriel White Tenma
• Naomi Oozora (Hana in Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out) as Satania McDowell Kurumizawa
• Saori Oonishi (Ais in Danmachi) as Vignette April Tsukinose
• Kana Hanazawa (Nadeko in Monogatari) as Raphiel Ainsworth Shiraha
• Inori Minase (Rem in Re:Zero) as Tapris Sugarbell Chisaki

Masahiko Ohta directed the anime.

Crunchyroll streams Gabriel Dropout. Comic Dengeki Daioh G magazine publishes Tapris SugarStep, a spin-off manga by Bafako that focuses on Tapris from Gabriel Dropout.
