Preview for episode 2 of The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague has been released. The upcoming episode will air on January 11 at 22:30 (JST). Mankyu is directing the series, while Zero-G and Liber are animating the adaptation.
Following the first interaction between Fuyutsuki-san and Himuro-kun in episode 1, the next episode will follow the story of their company’s trip to Okinawa, as announced by their section chief. We will see Himuro-kun getting nervous again, fearing that he might ruin the fun of the company outing, as he is able to create a snowstorm when excited. For him, just the thought of seeing the blue ocean and the sandy beaches makes him excited. To combat that fear, Fuyutsuki makes a handmade item and offers it to Himuro, convincing him to join the company outing. However, the trip goes in a rather more unexpected way…
The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague anime is being produced based on Miyuki Tonogaya’s The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague manga serialized on Square Enix’s Gangan pixiv manga website. The series released the first compiled volume on July 22, 2019, and the sixth volume on June 22, 2022.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime outside of Japan, describing it as:
Himuro-kun, a descendant of a modern-day snow woman, is a newcomer to the company who creates snowstorm, snowman, and kamakura when his emotions get the better of him. His secret crush on Fuyutsuki-san, a unique but kind co-worker, grows so strong that it sometimes freezes those around him. On the other hand, Fuyutsuki-san, who is often seen as cool by others, is also very interested in the mysterious Himuro-kun.
Their relationship gradually changes through daily work and company events, and they also begin to spend time together in private, but both are clumsy in love and cannot close the distance one more step…
