The Villager of Level 999 Gets Anime in 2026

The Villager of Level 999 light novel by Koneko Hoshitsuki is getting a TV anime adaptation, set to release in 2026. Additionally, a teaser visual, trailer, along with the staff and main voice cast information have also been announced.

Satoshi Inomata is starring in the anime series as the male protagonist Koji Kagami while Nao Toyama is voicing the female main character Alice. Yoshinobu Kasai is directing the anime at studio Brain’s Base. Shinzo Fujita is handling the series composition, while Kentaro Matsumoto is designing the characters, and Hiroshi Nakamura is composing the music.

The Villager of Level 999 – Teaser Trailer

The Villager of Level 999 light novel, in which the anime is adaptation from, was initially serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from July 2015 to December 2018. Enterbrain acquired the title on a later date with illustrations by Fuumi. It has eight volumes in total. The series also has a manga adaptation by Kenichi Iwamoto with 17 volumes currently available and the 18th volume set to release on August 26, 2025.

The story is about Koji Kagami, who has reached level 999 despite being assigned the weakest class of “villager.” After a fateful encounter with Alice, the daughter of the demon lord, Koji sets out with her on a journey, finding a way where humans and demons can coexist.
