Tokyo Revengers anime revealed the noncredit version of the opening for the Christmas Conflict arc, which will serve as the second season of the anime. Official HIGE DANdism is performing the song, titled “White Noise.” The band also performed the opening for the first season, titled, “Cry Baby.”
The Japanese title for the sequel is Tokyo Revengers: Seiya Kessen-hen and the name of the arc is sometimes translated as Christmas Showdown. The premiere date is set for January 7, 2023. The ending theme song for the anime is TUYU’s “It might be painful, but I still love it.” The anime will stream on Disney+.
Studio LIDEN FILMS is returning to animate the second season. The core anime staff is also returning for the Tokyo Revengers sequel and includes:

- Character Design: Kenichi Onuki, Keiko Ota
- Music: Hiroaki Tsutsumi
The cast is also reprising their roles, with Masaya Fukunishi, who is replacing Tatsuhisa Suzuki. Suzuki dropped out of the anime due to reported health issues last year. The first season has also been edited to reflect the changes. New cast additions have also been revealed and include Tomokazu Sugita as Taiju Shiba and Mikako Komatsu as Yuzuha Shiba.
The Tokyo Revengers anime is based on a manga by Ken Wakui. The manga was published in the Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2022 and it ended in November of this year. Kodansha is publishing it in English and describes the plot as:
Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he’s a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang!!
