After falling short in last year’s annual poll and finishing in third place, Aoi Yuki has finally claimed the top spot. Her performance as Maomao in The Apothecary Diaries was already phenomenal last year, earning her a high ranking.
This year, she continued to impress with another outstanding character portrayal, but that was just the beginning. She showcased her incredible voice acting range with roles such as Capella in Re:Zero Season 3, Marika in Tsumasho, Fuji in How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer, Pii-chan in Sasaki and Peeps, and Shion in Mission: Yozakura Family.
Coming in second place is the rising star Shion Wakayama, who not only made a name for herself this year but also achieved her biggest breakthrough yet with her role as Momo in Dan Da Dan. In addition to this standout performance, she continues to captivate fans with a diverse range of roles, including Asahi in Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister, Lemon in Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines, and Shizuka Nanahoshi in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2.
Taking third place is none other than the widely adored Rie Takahashi. While she stood out last year for reprising the iconic roles that first put her on the map—Megumi in Konosuba and Emilia in Re:Zero—she proved once again why she is one of the industry’s most popular seiyuus because her performance as Kano in Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night showcased her talent, versatility, and singing prowess, further cementing her place among the best.

Whether it’s the main protagonist, a villain, an anti-hero, or a rival, Nobunaga Shimazaki can do it all, making him the Best Male Seiyuu of 2024. While his iconic role as Shido Itsuka in Date A Live V was fantastic, he had an incredibly busy year, voicing more than ten main characters along with countless supporting roles.
Some of his standout performances include Hayato Suo in Wind Breaker, Arnold Hein in 7th Time Loop, Shunpei Chihaya in Oblivion Battery, Chroma Kurozane in Acro Trip, and Tsubasa Shiki in Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! With such an impressive lineup, there’s no doubt that Nobunaga truly deserved the top spot.
Falling just 0.16% short, Natsuki Hanae takes second place. With such an incredibly close race, there is no doubt that Hanae had an outstanding year. His impressive lineup of roles includes Ken “Okarun” Takakura in Dan Da Dan, Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc, Bocchan in The Duke of Death and His Maid Season 3, 9S in NieR:Automata Ver1.1a Part 2, and Makoto Misumi in Tsukimichi Season 2. With such a stellar performance across multiple series, it’s clear that Hanae was more than deserving of being this close to the top spot.
Claiming third place is another rising star who seems to be everywhere lately—Takeo Otsuka. With his smooth and captivating performances, he has won over audiences and solidified his presence in the industry. In 2024, he impressed with standout roles such as Jinshi in The Apothecary Diaries, Aqua Hoshino in Oshi no Ko Season 2, Oushi Ashioki in A Sign of Affection, Aoi Nanamori in The Demon Prince of Momochi House, and Kanata in Synduality: Noir Part 2. At this pace, it’s only a matter of time before he claims the topmost spot.
