Uta no Prince-sama (Uta☆Pri) MAJI Love is getting a new movie for its Uta☆Pri Theatrical anime series. The next movie will star QUARTET NIGHT, the popular senior group of ST☆RISH. Just as the ST☆RISH edition, which shows ST☆RISH live performance, this time it will show the live performances of QUARTET NIGHT. The series has also released a teaser visual featuring all four members of QUARTET NIGHT, Reiji Kotobuki, Ranmaru Kurosaki, Ai Mikaze, and Camus wearing white shirts with black gloves. In their hands a mysterious note with their names on it.
A-1 Pictures, who also produced previous Uta☆Pri projects, will return to produce the QUARTET NIGHT. The main cast of QUARTET Night will be returning to reprise their roles:
- Showtaro Morikubo as Reiji Kotobuki
- Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ranmaru Kurosaki
- Shouta Aoi as Ai Mikaze
- Tomoaki Maeno as Camus
With the new movie, Tatsuhisa will be returning to the Uta☆Pri anime series for the first time since 2019.
Uta no Prince-sama MAJI Love anime series was based on the popular otome game, Uta no Prince-sama, created by Broccoli. The original game was first released on the PlayStation Portable in June 2010. Since then, the series has grown into a multi-media franchise and created multiple game sequels, rhythm games, music CDs, anime series, films, manga, stage play adaptations, live events, and concerts. All the songs within the Uta☆Pri franchise are produced by Elements Garden. The franchise currently has sold over 5 million copies of its music CDS. The first season of the anime series titled, Uta no Prince-sama MAJI Love 1000%, aired from July 2011 to September 2011. Following the success of the first season, the anime series spawned three more seasons, an OVA, and two movies. All seasons of the anime, the OVA, and the movies were all produced by A-1 Pictures.
Uta no Prince-sama follows the story of an aspiring composer, Haruka Nanami (the default name can be changed in the game versions). After a certain event, Haruka attends a prestigious performing art school specializing in idols and music producers, Saotome Academy, in hopes of becoming a composer and writing songs for her favorite idol. During her time at Saotome Academy, she became acquainted with six idols, all of whom were competing to become idols. One day, she was given a project to team up with a student to create an idol-producer team. The teams who are successful in the project can have a chance to join the famous Shining Agency after graduation. The catch…romance is prohibited!
