The upcoming anime adaptation of Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss But I’m Not the Demon Lord revealed a new visual and trailer on Wednesday with the opening and ending theme song. Rina Hidaka will join the series as Eleanora Hillrose. Mayu Maeshima performs the opening song “LOVE or HATE?” while the ending song “Suki ga Levechi” is sung by Eleanora (Rina Hidaka) and Yumiella (Fairouz Ai). The series is set to begin broadcasting on January 9.
Studio Jumondo is animating the series with Minoru Yamaoka as the director. Fumihiko Shimo writes the scripts, Hitomi Kaiho and Lo Ho Kim are in charge of the character designs while Kana Utatane composes the music. The latest trailer of Villainess Level 99 features the opening theme song.

It initially launched on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in June 2018. Kadokawa acquired the series and published it in print with illustrations by Tea in May 2019. A manga adaptation with art by Nokomi is currently ongoing
