Voice actress Noriko Ohara, known for voicing Nobita Nobi in the anime Doraemon and Conan in Future Boy Conan, passed away on July 12 at the age of 88. This was reported by her agency, 81 Produce. You can read their statement below.

Our actor Noriko Ohara (real name: Noriko Tobe) passed away at the age of 88 on July 12, 2024, after a period of illness despite medical treatment. As per the wishes of her family, the funeral was held privately among relatives. We sincerely appreciate the kindness shown during her life and respectfully inform you of her passing.

Noriko Ohara was born on October 2 in Tokyo. She voiced Nobita Nabi in Doraemon from 1979 to 2005, with Megumi Ohara taking over as the character’s voice in 2005. Besides Nobita, Noriko Ohara voiced many other characters throughout her career, including Conan in Future Boy Conan, Doronjo in Yatterman, Peter in Heidi, Girl of the Alps, Oyuki in the original URUSEI YATSURA, among others.
