With You and the Rain Anime Announced for 2025

With You and the Rain TV anime adaptation has been officially announced, with the release date confirmed for 2025. A teaser visual was also revealed.

The author, Ko Nikaido, also left a comment on the adaptation announcement, along with a special illustration to commemorate the news.

I fondly remember when I was given the opportunity to visit the studio, and how they so kindly and carefully guided me.

I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing how the animation turns out.

With You and the Rain (Ame to Kimi to) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ko Nikaido. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine seinen magazine since August 2020, with 6 volumes published as of December 6, 2023. Volume 7 is scheduled to release on September 5. Kodansha licensed the series in English, describing the story of the first volume:
If it looks like a dog and acts like a dog and insists it’s a dog, it’s…a dog? Probably? She adopted it anyway, and her life with this “dog” will never be boring!
