Voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka made an appearance in the fourth episode of A-1 Pictures’ Lycoris Recoil anime. The episode aired on Saturday, July 23, and Matsuoka voiced a terrorist named Majima who attacked the subway. Judging from the ending of the episode, we will be seeing more of the character. Official design has been revealed:
Matsuoka is perhaps best-known for voicing Kirito from the Sword Art Online series, which was also animated by A-1 Pictures. Sword Art Online character designer and animator, Shingo Adachi is directing Lycoris Recoil anime and many fans noticed a few interesting things after the fourth episode ended. In the subway fighting scene, we were able to see the cameos of a few Sword Art Online characters: girls who looked like Lisbeth and Suguha and another girl with Asuna’s hairstyle.
Lycoris Recoil began airing earlier this month. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime in English and the main cast includes:
- Shion Wakayama as Takina Inoue
- Chika Anzai as Chisato Nishikigi
- Misaki Kuno as Kurumi
- Ami Koshimizu as Mizuki Nakahara
- Kosuke Sakaki as Mika
The story is an original work by Spider Lily (consists of Kadokawa Corporation, Dentsu Entertainment, and Aniplex) and Asaura, who is credited for the original story.
