Yuki Domoto’s I Want to End This Love Game Gets TV Anime Adaptation

I Want to End This Love Game (Aishiteru Gemu O Owara Setai) manga by Yuki Domoto is officially getting a TV anime adaptation. The anime adaptation was announced on June 12, which is celebrated as “Lover’s Day” in Japan. More details regarding the broadcast schedule and cast will be revealed at a later date. Yuki Domoto writes and draws the I Want to End This Love Game manga, which has been serialized on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry platform since December 2021. A total of 6 volumes has been released as of April 10, 2024. VIZ Media is publishing it in English, with the sixth volume released on May 13, 2025.

The story follows Yukiya, a former quiet nerd who transforms himself with a high school glow-up, all in hopes of winning over his best friend, Miku. Inspired by her favorite shojo manga, Yukiya tries to sweep her off her feet with bold, over-the-top romantic moves. However, as he tries to turn what he read into reality, awkward moments and misunderstandings keep getting in the way of their unspoken (mutual) feelings.
