Urusei Yatsura Season 2 Episode 15 Preview Trailer Revealed

The preview trailer for Urusei Yatsura Season 2 episode 15 (#38 overall) was revealed on Wednesday. The new episode is set to release on April 25. HIDIVE is streaming the anime with English subtitles. Studio David Production is animating the series. Fans can check out the preview below:

In last week’s episode, we saw Mendo being forced to date Asuka out of the hopes she would stop clinging to her brother and grow to be more comfortable around other men. Ataru tries to break up the date for his own reasons while Lum attempts her best to comfort Asuka. In this week’s episode, it looks like the date with Asuka and Mendo will begin to take a wild turn!

Series Director Takahiro Kamei reprised his position for the second season as well as Yuuko Kakihara (series composition), Naoyuki Asano (character designer), Masanobu Nomura (art director), Masaru Yokoyama (music), and Yuuichirou Nagata (director of photography). Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura are both working as directors.

Urusei Yatsura Season 2 is part of the reboot of the original series with the same name that aired 195 episodes between 1981 and 1986, which was animated by Studio Pierrot for the first 106 episodes and then handed off to studio DEEN for the rest. The rom-com, sci-fi anime is based on the manga created by Rumiko Takahashi, which was serialized for nine years between 1978-1987 and currently has over 35 million copies in circulation.

VIZ Media originally picked up the English license for the series in the 1990s but stopped printing after volume 8. The publishing company picked it back up and released all volumes for the series in omnibus format between 2019-2023.

HIDIVE is streaming the anime and describes the story:
Chosen as humanity’s representative in a duel against invading aliens, the womanizing Ataru faces off against the alien princess Lum — and the conflict follows him home when Lum invades both planet Earth AND the reluctant Ataru’s love life!

Urusei Yatsura Season 2 episode 15 will be released on April 25, 2024.
