2.5 Dimensional Seduction is Yu Hashimoto’s manga that has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ manga service since June 2019. The manga released the first compiled volume on October 4, 2019, and the latest, 15th, volume in October 2022. The series surpassed 1.7 million circulating copies. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for English releases and the latest, 4th volume is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2022.
Seven Seas describes the plot as:
A hot-blooded romantic cosplay comedy begins when an otaku meets a girl who dresses up as his favorite manga character. This sexy manga series comes recommended by Eiichiro Oda (creator of One Piece)!
“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Liliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Lilysa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
