The manga 29-Sai Dokushin Chuken Bokensha no Nichijo (The Daily Life of a Single 29-Year-Old Adventurer) is officially getting an anime adaptation. A teaser visual and trailer have been released to commemorate the announcement.

To celebrate the news, manga creator Ippei Nara shared a commemorative illustration.
The anime will star Makoto Furukawa as protagonist Shinonome Hajime and Sayumi Suzushiro as Rirui. Toshinori Fukushima is directing the anime and also supervising the series composition. The animation will be produced by Studio HORNETS, with character designs by Yoshihiro Nagamori.
The official synopsis for the series:
While on a dungeon-diving job, adventurer Hajime encounters a hungry young girl named Rirui. Abandoned by her parents and with no one else to rely on, she’s all alone. Unable to leave her behind, Hajime declares, “If you’re going to be my companion, then stop crying!!” And so begins their life together.
However, Rirui is not just an ordinary girl…!?
The manga was first serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in January 2016. As of May 9, 2025, 19 volumes have been released. The series is available digitally on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app.
