Season 2 of The Fire Hunter anime has revealed a new visual and teaser trailer ahead of its premiere in January 2024. Signal.MD (Platinum End, Kizuna no Allele) is returning to animate the series, along with the main staff and cast.
The first season of The Fire Hunter aired from January to March this year for 10 episodes. Junji Nishimura directed the series with Mamoru Oshii doing both the series composition and scriptwriting. Takuya Saito did the character designs, as well as serving as chief animation director alongside Kazuchika Kise and Toshihisa Kaiya. The cast for the anime includes:

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime outside of Asia, describing the plot as:
Outside the magical barriers lies a world overrun by fiery beasts known as Flame Demons, and the only ones who can protect humanity are the Fire Hunters. In the dark woods where the beasts roam is where Toko, a young villager, is rescued from attack by one of these skilled trackers, Koshi. But their meeting was no accident, and a new destiny begins.
The Fire Hunter is a fantasy novel series written by Rieko Hinata and illustrated by Akihiro Yamada. Holp Shuppan have published four volumes between December 2018 and September 2020.
