Bungo Stray Dogs celebrated the “Yokohama Port Opening Festival” by showcasing some of the real-life locations in which the anime setting takes place. The festival is the city’s largest public event of the year as it honors when the 165-year-old Yokohama port first opened on June 2, 1859. To give homage to the city, the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) posted an online tour of the familiar and nostalgic sceneries. The Bungo Stray Dogs locations in Yokohama include:

Bungo Stray Dogs anime is based on a manga written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. Young Ace serialized the series in 2012, followed by more spin-off manga and light novels. An animated series was produced by Studio BONES in 2016 and has continued to have a total of five seasons. The anime is also currently celebrating its eighth anniversary. Kicked out of his orphanage and on the verge of starving to death, Nakajima Atsushi meets some strange men. One of them, Dazai Osamu, is a suicidal man attempting to drown himself in broad daylight. The other, bespectacled Kunikida Doppo, nervously stands by flipping through a notepad. Both are members of the “Armed Detective Agency” said to solve incidents that even the military and police won’t touch. Atsushi ends up accompanying them on a mission to eliminate a man-eating tiger that’s been terrorizing the population…
